Free seller payout estimator

Compare what you keep after resale fees

Selling the same item on different marketplaces can leave you with very different payouts. Enter a sale price (and optional shipping the buyer pays), and we’ll estimate seller-side fees for eBay, Mercari, Poshmark, Depop, Vinted, and Whatnot in the US. Use it to pick where to list—or what to ask—before you cross-post.

How it works

  1. Enter your expected sale price (and buyer-paid shipping if you know it).
  2. We apply each platform’s published seller-side fee assumptions.
  3. Compare estimated fees and take-home side by side—then confirm on the platform before you list.

Your sale

Market

The amount you expect the item to sell for.

Used only when a platform’s fee base includes it. Not added to your payout.

Category or fee tier

Assumptions

Sold item; seller pays listed seller-side fees; shipping collected separately and not deducted unless platform mandates otherwise; no promotions/subscriptions unless noted.

How the numbers are built
  • The sale is treated as already completed.
  • Seller net starts from the sale price. Buyer-paid shipping is not added to the payout, and shipping you pay yourself is not subtracted.
  • A fee includes buyer-paid shipping only when that schedule’s base says so. Sales tax is never an input, even where the real fee base includes it.
  • Boosted or promoted listings, store subscriptions, and optional cash-out fees are left out unless the selected schedule includes them.
  • If payment processing is included in the platform fee, the payment column says Included and is not subtracted again.
  • Platforms without a schedule for the selected market are hidden. US rates are not copied onto the UK.
  • Each fee component is rounded to the nearest cent.

Estimated payouts

Here’s an estimate of seller fees and what you might keep. Shipping cost you pay out of pocket, taxes, and promos aren’t fully modeled unless noted.

Sorted by seller net, highest first.
Rank

Seller net = sale price − platform fee − payment fee − other deductions. “Included” and “None” count as zero and are not subtracted again.

List once, sell on more marketplaces

If comparing fees helped you choose where to sell, a crosslisting tool can push the same listing to multiple apps so you spend less time retyping titles and photos.

Disclaimer

Fee rates change and can vary by category, seller level, promotions, and location. This tool is an independent estimate—not affiliated with or endorsed by eBay, Mercari, Poshmark, Depop, Vinted, or Whatnot. Always check the platform’s official fee pages and your seller dashboard for the amount that will actually be deducted. Estimates generally exclude your own shipping cost, sales tax remittance quirks, boosted/promoted listing ads, store subscriptions, and one-off penalties unless stated in the breakdown.

Official fee pages

Open the platform’s own help page before you list. The addresses come from the fee file.
